Polypropylene macro plastic fiber is a new type of synthetic fiber,which is a reinforcement fiber. It is made of polypropylene as raw material through special process technology.Polypropylene macro synthetic fibers exhibit excellent dispersion ability in concrete, and this characteristic is closely related to its own physical and chemical properties, production process, and construction techniques of concrete.The small size of polypropylene fibers makes them more likely to be "encapsulated" and dispersed by the cement slurry in the concrete mixture, thus avoiding agglomeration caused by overly thick or long fibers. Polypropylene is a non-polar polymer material. Its surface is hydrophobic and smooth, and it has a low frictional force with the cement slurry. Therefore, it is not prone to entanglement during the mixing process. The density of polypropylene fibers is very low. During the concrete mixing process, the fibers neither sink due to excessive density nor float on the surface due to being too light. Instead, they are evenly suspended in the cement slurry, forming a three-dimensional random distribution. Based on these characteristics, polypropylene fibers have become an indispensable functional material in modern concrete engineering.
