High Strength Nonwoven Geotextile For Bridge Subgrade

The high strength nonwoven geotextile for bridge subgrade , mostly using polyester (PET) or polypropylene as raw materials. They are produced through non-woven processes such as needle punching and heat bonding. The core advantages are high tensile strength (usually ≥ 20kN/m) and strong resistance to tearing, which can meet the requirements of the bridge subgrade to withstand long-term vehicle loads and soil pressure.

High strength nonwoven geotextile function:

◆One of the benefits is stress dispersion, which can buffer the uneven settlement between the roadbed fill material and the original soil, reducing the cracking of the roadbed caused by uneven force distribution, and thereby protecting the bridge deck structure.

◆Filtering and draining, through uniform pores, to prevent soil particles from being washed away, while quickly discharging rainwater and seepage within the roadbed, to avoid soil softening and reducing the bearing capacity.

◆Layer isolation, separating different particle sizes of fill materials within the roadbed (such as the crushed stone layer and the clay layer), prevents the mixture of soil layers and maintains the overall compactness of the roadbed.

It has good flexibility and is easy to lay. It can fit the arc-shaped slopes or irregular base surfaces of the bridge roadbed. The construction process is convenient, which can shorten the construction period of the roadbed and is a commonly used auxiliary material for improving the stability of the bridge roadbed and extending its service life.
