In cement concrete and asphalt concrete, we often use polyacrylonitrile fibers as the main reinforcement material. PAN fiber can significantly improve the tensile strength, fatigue strength and bending strength of concrete, and polyacrylonitrile fiber can significantly improve the early cracking resistance of concrete. Because of its hydrophilic groups, the fiber has good hydrophilicity and good dispersion in the cement matrix.
