Rainwater Harvesting Modules For Parking Lots

In my city, a parking lot suffers from water accumulation every rainy season, making vehicle movement and parking extremely inconvenient. Moreover, the rainwater is wasted, and the project aims to solve this problem by introducing new rain water modules in the parking lot renovation. The rain water modules used in this renovation are made of high-strength recycled polypropylene and have an extremely high water collection space utilization rate of 95%.

These modules are ingeniously installed beneath the parking lot floor, forming large underground water storage tanks. During rainfall, the rainwater quickly converges to the modules through the ground drainage system, is filtered, and then stored. The collected rainwater can be used for daily cleaning of the parking lot and irrigation of surrounding green plants, significantly reducing the consumption of tap water.

Moreover, the rainwater modules have greatly enhanced the drainage and flood prevention capabilities of the parking lot. Previously, heavy rainfall often caused waterlogging in the parking lot. Now, the rainwater harvesting modules can quickly absorb and store rainwater, avoiding water accumulation on the ground and ensuring the safety of vehicles and pedestrians. This project provides an excellent example for rainwater management in urban parking lots and is expected to be promoted in more areas to contribute to the green and sustainable development of the city.
